never going home

from the subtle art of losing yourself by Robin

/

about

she woke up still feeling dazed, but this time it wasnt quite so pleasant. she had lost her sense of where she was. and, apparently, some of her belongings, the remainder of which were scattered across the ground in front of her. she collected them as best she could and resolved to get out of these strange woods.

through her journey she started feeling reminiscent. she missed her cage. she didnt know if she would ever get back to it. where were its comforts? her thoughts then turned to her sister. would they ever be reunited? the last she remembered of her was the longing she felt staring off into the moon, hoping beyond hope that they had both been staring that night.

but slowly, other thoughts began to fill her head. she remembered the pain and suffering she felt in her cage. she remembered all the people from her old world that put her through all of it. maybe she was better off here. maybe she didnt need the cage. maybe things could be better here. it wasnt so cold here. she felt life here.

she felt her resolve strengthen and turned her back on her old life.
