a collection of ambient soundscapes recorded entirely on the yamaha TX7. of note is that this is not a software plugin. i recently bought a used TX7 and almost immediately put it to work making music. the unit was loaded with a number of custom patches already, some of which are very cool and all of which i’d love to put out as a SYSEX file some day. after dumping the SYSEX to my computer as a backup though i very quickly began designing sounds in dexed and loading them to the unit. once i couldn’t think of any more sounds to create i’d stop and record a soundscape then get started programming patches again.

the first three scapes were recorded very quickly on the same day the unit arrived while the fourth was recorded around 10 days later. the album has been sitting around mastered and ready to go for a hot minute now but i’ve been waiting on finding the right shot for the artwork. i think the letterboxing adds a touch of a cinematic feel and i think that complements the music quite well. hope you all enjoy <3
