    This special edition includes an alternate master of the album prepared on cassette. Originally this was the final master but after some consideration I decided against this. The tape used was relatively high quality but ultimately despite preventative measures, there was still just too much noise and I was ultimately unhappy with it as the final version of the album. However it's been left in and currently stands as the "hi-res" version of the album, seeing as the final master was done at 24-bit/44.1kHz as per the original recording sessions while the tape transfers were done at twice the frequency rate (88.2kHz) and remain as such. This cassette master however will be used for the eventual cassette release of the album.

Horizons is a single 43 minute work split into two halves, in the same tradition as Mike Oldfield’s mid to late 70s works (Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge, Ommadawn, and Incantations). It’s a love letter to the progressive rock music of the 70s and ultimately comes from a place of love and respect for, among the many other bands and individuals, Mike Oldfield and Tony Banks, keyboard player of Genesis.
